The “Who, What, and Why” (Or: Why I’m Your New Favorite Travel Interventionist)

If we haven’t met yet, hi. I’m Sarah Bergman. I am a travel agent, a business owner at Park & Preston Travel, and - most importantly for your current sanity - a Travel Coach.
I’m also a woman who has a very high standard for her thread count, a very low tolerance for “standard” itineraries, and a slightly obsessive relationship with finding the heart behind every boarding pass.
For a long time, the travel industry has been about the where. “Where are we going?” “What’s the top 10 list for Paris?” But as a coach, I’m here to ask the question that actually matters: Why are you leaving your house in the first place?
What is a Travel Coach? (And No, I Don’t Make You Do Burpees)
When people hear “coach,” they usually think of a person in a tracksuit blowing a whistle. I promise you, there will be no whistles. Instead, think of me as your Travel Interventionist.
See, I believe “running away” is actually a high-level act of self-care. Most people book trips because they need to intentionally step away from the noise - the overflowing inbox, a routine that feels like a beige hallway, or a “Main Character” complex that has become physically heavy. My job is to make sure that when you run away, you are running toward something that actually resets your soul.
The Travel Agent Sarah handles the “how.” The Virtuoso/Elite perks, the logistics, the “how do I get from the airport to the hidden gem” stuff.
The Travel Coach Sarah handles the “who.” Who do you want to be when you land? What part of your brain needs to be “Force Quitted”? What version of yourself have you accidentally left behind in the carpool lane?
My Manifesto: Why I’m Doing This
I didn’t start Park & Preston just to book hotel rooms. I started it because I believe that travel is the only thing we buy that actually rearranges our internal furniture.
I’m here to help you stop “vacationing” and start recalibrating. Whether you’re standing under the Northern Lights feeling like a polite gremlin, or you’re in a sea cave in Italy feeling like you’ve found a life cheat code, I want you to come home and realize that the car still makes that weird noise and the laundry is still there... but you are different.
What You Can Expect from This Space
I’m going to be sharing destination spotlights that actually have a soul. I’m going to be giving you the “why” behind the trips. And yes, I’m going to make you laugh, because if we can’t find the humor in a 4:00 AM airport security line, what are we even doing here?
I want to help you find the chaos that makes you feel alive and the quiet that makes you feel human again.
Your First Coaching Assignment
I’m not just here to talk at you. I want to know: What is the one thing you are currently trying to “solve” with a vacation? Is it burnout? Is it a lack of wonder? Is it just the desperate need to not hear the word “Mom” for 72 straight hours? (Total judgment-free zone here).
Let’s stop scrolling and start intentionalizing. (Is that a word? It is now. I’m the coach.)
Ready to stop wondering and start wandering? Let's get to work. I'm here to help you find the destination that actually meets you where you are. Your move.
So, what’s the soul-reason you’re looking at a map today?
