"Should we book or rebook our cruise in 2020?"
A popular question we're getting from our clients and friends.
First of all, we feel strongly that one's comfortability of cruising (or any travel) is a very personal decision and it's not for us to determine or recommend on your behalf. As your travel advisors, our responsibility is to provide insight, guidance, and answer questions so that YOU can make the best decision based on your circumstance.
With that being said, let's dive into the benefits and protections we're seeing for those you would like to book or rebook their cruise in 2020.
1. Perks for 2020
Each cruise line is offering its own version of additional perks and great pricing for those who will be ready to travel in 2020. We are staying on top of these on your behalf and would love to help you take advantage, when you're ready.
2. Limited Capacity Sailing
As cruise lines start sailing again, all indicators suggest that they will not be sailing at full capacity. This means those who choose to sail early in the re-opening phase will benefit from fewer people on the ship.
3. Unique Itineraries
Due to many ports of call not reopening for a while, cruise lines who are ready to sail, are introducing unique itineraries. Additional shorter sailing options are being introduced.
4. Confidence and Peace of Mind
The cruise lines are offering "Cruise with Confidence" or "Peace of Mind" type policies for those hesitant to book now - even for sailing in 2021/2022. You can feel confident in ensuring your deposit is protected.
5. Upgraded Experience
For those who hold a Future Cruise Credit, there are some cruise lines that have added additional monetary value. While this is not tied to SAILING in 2020, rebooking sooner, rather than later may reap big rewards, giving you an upgraded sailing experience.
